Jo Booth – Founder & CEO

As a Social Media Trainer, Jo loves to use her expertise, knowledge & skills to support productions & indies in making the most out of their online presence. She likes to bring energy & enthusiasm to all her work and help our clients fully understand & harness their digital marketing potential. As a result of this, Jo is regularly invited to speak at events & conferences and blog about her opinions on Social Media and how to engage with audiences.

David Dunhill – Managing Director

David’s expertise in digital and social media dates back to the year 2000 when he founded a successful web development agency that worked with some of the biggest high street names. But it was in 2014 that he truly made his mark, by running the largest science Facebook page – I F**king Love Science – which amassed over 26 million followers.

Today, David is a true master of his craft, leaning on his extensive experience and knowledge to develop cutting-edge digital and social media strategies for all industries. With a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and strategic thinking, he has helped countless companies achieve their goals and reach new heights of success.

Nancy Jaeger – COO

Experienced Marketer with a demonstrated history of working in the public relations and communications industry. Strong professional skilled in Management, Business Development, Marketing Strategy, Social Media, and Training. Having owned a successful PR agency for over ten years, Nancy helps bring traditional marketing expertise to the modern media outlet of social media.

Sarah Broad – Social Media Manager

With over 16 years of experience in children’s television, Sarah Broad brings a wealth of industry knowledge and creativity to her role at Social Media Makes Sense (SMMS). She started her career at Channel 5, where she worked on the popular children’s strand, milkshake!, producing and directing live shows, creating digital content, and even stepping in to perform on stage when needed. This fast-paced environment honed her ability to think on her feet and deliver engaging content.

Sarah initially joined SMMS to lead the children’s TV client portfolio and quickly expanded her remit to oversee all clients. Her experience spans live-action and animated content, including Line Producing BAFTA-nominated series like Sarah & Duck and developing successful properties like Isadora Moon. Recognized as a “Broadcast Hotshot,” Sarah continues to drive innovative social media strategies and build strong industry relationships for SMMS.

James Mcgrogan – Senior Social Media Executive

James has been working in Social Media for over 5 years after a university placement at his beloved West Ham kickstarted his career. Since then James has worked with brands such as On The Tools, Megabus, and Grenade. As a Senior Social Media Executive, James uses his skills and experience to run social media campaigns and manage client retainers. He’s all about creativity and staying on top of the latest trends, bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to every project.

Daniel Kuptel – Content Creator

Dan is a photographer, filmmaker, and editor with a background in the automotive industry. Over the past few years, he has immersed himself in various videography fields, working on corporate projects for businesses, producing commercial photo and video content, and supporting marketing campaigns. Dan has also filmed a range of documentaries, interviews, and more.

Libby Taylor – Social Media & Marketing Assistant

Libby is our social media and marketing assistant with a diverse background in both creative writing and digital marketing. A graduate from the University of Lincoln, she holds a degree in English and Creative Writing. Her writing has been featured in various literary magazines across the UK, Ireland, and America. In 2021, she was nominated for the Pushcart Prize.

Before joining SMMS, Libby gained valuable experience in digital marketing, working with a wide range of clients, including those in the healthcare industry, events venues, and even a bestselling author. Her expertise in social media marketing is a key asset, allowing her to craft compelling content and strategies that resonate with audiences and drive engagement.
