Two Cities Television worked with SMMS during the setup and transmission of BLUE LIGHTS for BBC One and iPlayer to ensure that our digital ambitions were achieved, across all of our social media platforms, during the run of a mainstream police procedural TV series. Working with Sarah and David at SMMS was a joy and a great learning curve – always forcing us to rethink our editorial approach in terms of digital demands, and always encouraging us and the audience, to engage. Series One was a great success, launching a new original drama to five-star rave reviews and an average audience of over 6.5 million across all six episodes, with a consolidated peak of 7.6 million viewers, split across linear and digital.  The series also garnered a strong young audience performance with 13% of the viewership being 16-34-year-olds – we believe this is down to the stellar work carried out by SMMS, and also Milk Publicity. We are now working with SMMS again on Series 2 and look forward to actively pushing boundaries, together, in the future.
