Following the success of Series IV, SMMS Ltd are happy to announce their continued partnership with Endeavour as they begin filming Series V, marking the 30th anniversary of Inspector Morse on ITV.
Endeavour is set to air six feature-length films of the Inspector Morse prequel series, and Shaun Evans will reprise his role as recently promoted Detective Sergeant Endeavour Morse. Roger Allam (The Missing) and Anton Lesser (Game of Thrones) are also returning, along with many other familiar and new faces.
Executive producer and managing director at Mammoth Screen, Damien Timmer, said “We’re glad to welcome Jo and her team at SMMS back for another series of Endeavour – we’ve had great success so far, and know there’s more to come.”
Jo, who has gathered hundreds of thousands of followers across social media for many of Mammoth’s shows, said “we’re so excited to be working on Endeavour again, it’s great working on a show that we love to watch as well – we think it really helps in interacting with the fans when we have a common interest!”
The new series will sadly not be seen by Inspector Morse novelist Colin Dexter, who died earlier this year. Everyone at Mammoth and SMMS hope that the new series will do justice to his widely beloved legacy.
SMMS will continue to cover all aspects of social media and online engagement for Endeavour, including Twitter.
Endeavour will be executive produced by Damien Timmer, Russell Lewis (also writer), Tom Mullens, and Rebecca Eaton for WGBH. Named directors include Brady Hood (Sweet Maddie Stone) for Film 1, and Andy Wilson (Unforgotten) for Film 2.
