Managing Director (Part-Time- 2-3 days a week)
The company: SMMS is the leading niche social media and creative agency for television programmes, production companies and broadcasters in the UK. They are looking for a forward thinking and growth focused Managing Director to take the reins of the business and achieve its exciting growth objectives. The role is based in the company’s office in Mottram, Hyde, with the team currently working from home 2 days a week.
The role: Reporting to the owners, the new Managing Director is replacing the current interim Managing Director. The business is made up of a team of 7 people including social media executives, creatives and community managers. You will be responsible for the revenue growth of the business; you’ll love to be drive the business from the front with a hands-on approach. Your main responsibilities will be sales, client relations, strategy, hiring of staff and day to day management of the business.
- Client leadership: manage and lead senior and c-suite clients in their understanding of SMMS’s services and delivery.
- Team management: create a stimulating and challenging working environment and ensure we’re fostering a culture of creativity.
- New business and marketing: lead, manage and win pitches
What we’re looking for in you: We are looking for a positive, passionate and motivational leader in social media who also has amazing team management or experience running a business. Ideally, you’ll have been responsible for a P&L before, however we’re looking for someone with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, who is a strategic thinker and go getter– if you think this is you, we’d love to hear from you.
